FAQ for Students
How much making a Tenant CV is going to cost me?
If you are a student, the creation of your HomeHak Tenant CV will be free for your first year. You may decide to renew your subscription at a discounted fee of €10.00 per year while you are a student. The usual price of a HomeHak annual subscription is €25.00 per annum.
How should I go about getting a reference?
When creating your HomeHak Tenant CV, there is a feature that allows you to send an automatic email invite to a landlord or an accommodation manager. You can invite them to give you a reference which you can show on your Tenant CV - like a review to promote you as a great tenant so you get selected
What can I do if I don't have any landlord references because I haven't lived away from home before?
At HomeHak, we recognise that some students, particularly first-year students, may not have prior experience living away from home and may find it challenging to obtain landlord references. If this applies to you, mention in your description that you are a first-time renter. If you have stayed in Irish college accommodation or with host families previously, you may also want to include this information and even invite a member of your host family to provide you with a reference on the HomeHak platform. Furthermore, you may consider using personal references from other connections such as coaches, lecturers, friends etc. who are willing to vouch for you.
