Do I need to show my ID when uploading my spare room/s to HomeHak?
Homeowners, Landlords and Letting Agents are required to verify their identity with "ID Verification" provided by Stripe. The process takes less than 5 minutes and helps build community trust and security. It is available for free to all users of HomeHak. In addition, the ''ID verified with Stripe'' badge will be displayed on your profile. This helps to dissuade fake homeowners and fake landlords who may not be happy about proving their identity.
The process is meant to provide extra peace of mind to home seekers who may be susceptible to scams. We feel this easy, efficient process which we provide free is a small ask and will not be considered a burden for good accommodation providers who value the principles of good data security.
