How much does HomeHak cost for home seekers and tenants?
For many home seekers the costs invoved with the usual process of searching for a home can go unnoticed. These costs add up and can be significant. Check out our HomeHak blog article "The costs of searching for a home to rent". HomeHak offers a new people-oriented process that will ulimately deliver time and cost savings, reduced stress, and overall more value than the usual property-oriented process of renting a home.
All home seekers who set up a Tenant account benefit from a Free Trial period. At October 2022 this is 14 days. During this period the homeseekers get to use all the features of HomeHak. They can can upload their home-renting information, demonstrate their trustworthiness using the built in ID verification and by collecting references, create their Tenant CV, share their Tenant CV with their network, display their Tenant CV on HomeHak Tenant Selector, communicate discretely with other members inside the platform, join their Tenant CV with other home seekers and apply as a household, and apply for homes that may be advertised on HomeHak. Tenant members also control access to their data, how much of it is public and hwo has access to it.
After the free trial period, members who value the benefits offered by HomeHak can subscribe per year and continue to enjoy all the features and benefits.
Subscription is €25 for members who are employed or self-employed. Members who are Students get 100% discount for year 1 and a discounted rate for each year afterwards while they are a student.
Members who are "Retired" or "Between Jobs" do not have to pay for using HomeHak, while they have these statuses.
These rates apply as of October 2022 and could change in future.
For anyone who decides not to subscribe for all the features of HomeHak, they can continue to store their information in their account on the platform. They will not be able to communicate with other members or aply for homes.

4. REFERENCES: You can shine even further by including pre-written references from people who can give you a vote of confidence and are happy to be contacted.

Do I need to show my ID?
You can verify their identity for free with "ID Verification" provided by Stripe. The process takes less than 5 minutes and it is available to all users of HomeHak. Landlords, homeowners and letting agents on HomeHak are required to verify their ID with Stripe before they can join HomeHak. ID verification improves trustworthiness and deters "Fake Landlords" and "Fake Agents".
Why do I have to pay a deposit?
The landlord trusts the tenant to keep the property in a good condition and in good order. The deposit is held to ensure that any damages (over and above fair wear and tear) can be corrected at the end of the tenancy.
